Multi-talented Elastollan
Elastollan® is an innovative, multi-talented material with incredible potential. A thermoplastic PU elastomer (TPU) developed, produced and marketed by BASF, it can be processed using a variety of targeted procedures. It offers an outstanding combination of elasticity and resilience, guaranteed over a broad temperature range. It's abrasion, impact, oil and grease resistant, tear and buckle proof, and has an elastic memory. It can even be modified to suit a specific application, for example by reinforcing it with glass fibres.
Cellasto-components: Almost every vehicle has them
We develop, produce and sell components made of cellular PU elastomers under the Cellasto® brand name. Nine out of ten car manufacturers use Cellasto suspension systems in their cars. As supplementary suspension, in compression buffers and damper beds, or as a complete system, it absorbs vibrations and reduces noise, improving driving safety and comfort. Cellasto is regarded as an ideal example of innovative BASF know-how: perfect knowledge of PU chemistry and of mixing and measuring technology, combined with top-precision processing. It was conceived and realised in response to detailed client requests; and constructed and developed with the most up-to-date CAD and FEM technology, based on detailed component data banks.
